MK Cancer Update

hey there katzenjammers!

so, where do i begin...? first off, i got my six month "all clear" scan result... another incredible milestone in this bizarre and wonderful journey the universe has been taking me on. thank you God! thank you God! thank you God!

it seems i've hit the ground running! life, music, love and the universe at large have rushed up to greet me with many opportunities to dive fully back into my life as a "cancer survivor" rather than a "cancer patient". i've done two ratdog tours now (fun... and all that jamming w/warren and the mule this summer was a serious blast!). i got to play (twice!) during the closing of the warfield as well as participating in the deadheads for obama event... all really fun stuff... and i'm actually making progress on my own record after many years of talking about it... LOL. heck, we may even get a vacation in this year! i've been having an incredible time being back on the bus as they say. the music is indeed my most healing elixir and i'm loving being back where i belong.

all i can say is i am one VERRRY grateful guitar picker! and i am especially grateful to all of you whose prayers, positive thoughts, cards and letters and general good vibes helped give me the strength and give me and all my family and close friends the extra support and spiritual power to get thru this. we could not have done it wihout you! thank you!!!

hope to see all y'all on the upcoming doggie run w/the allman brothers and again in the fall. here's to another great year together and to many, many more!
